    The late Raja Virbhadra Singh was an Indian politician. He was also known as “Raja Saheb”. Raja Sahab was born on 23 June 1934 at Sarahan in Shimla district. He belonged to the royal Rajput family. Late Raja Padam Singh was his father and Late Rani Shanti Devi was his mother. Raja Virbhadra Singh was the 122nd king of the Bushahr dynasty after the death of Raja Padam Singh.

    Raja Virbhadra Singh’s Personal Life

    The was the first king of the Bushahr dynasty who take over the throne of Bushehr’s princely state at the age of 13 years. He completes his schooling at Bishop Cotton School, Shimla. And he did his BA in history Honours from St. Stephens College, University of Delhi. During his graduation, he got married to Ratan Kumari in May 1954 she was a princess of Jubbal. He has four daughters Princess Jyotsna Kumari, Late Anuradha Kumari, Princess Abhilasha Kumari, and Princess Meenakshi Kumari. Abhilasha Kumari is a famous judge on the High Court of Gujarat. In 1983 Ratan Kumari died of a long sickness.

    On 28 November 1985, he got married, to Pratibha Singh, who was a princess of Keonthal. They both have one son and one daughter. Vikramaditya Singh is the son of Virbhadra Singh, he is also a Politician. And Aparajita Singh is the daughter of Virbhadra Singh. Aparajita Singh got married to the grandson of Maharaja of Patiala and Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh’s. And his son Vikramaditya Singh got married to Sudarshana Kumari. She was the princess of the Amet royal family of Mewar in Rajasthan. After the marriage of Virbhadra Singh, Pratibha Singh was elected to the Lok Sabha from Mandi. She had been elected three times to the Lok Sabha from Mandi.

    Politic Carrier

    Raja Virbhadra Singh starts his Politics in 1962. The first time the contested from the Mahasu Lok Sabha seat. And he was also elected to Lok Sabha in 1962, 1967, 1971, 1980, and 2009. Virbhadra Singh was the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Six Times, nine times MLA, and five times elected MP. In 1976 and 1977 he become a Civil Aviation and Deputy Minister for Tourism in the central cabinet. At present, he was MLA from Arki in Solan district. On 8 July 2021, He passed away at Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital Shimla. Two times he was infected with corona and he was admitted to IGMC Shimla. He was having trouble breathing. and he passed away in the morning at 3.40.
