Ishwar Dass Dhiman was born on 17 November 1934 in Dialri, Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh. He was an Indian politician from Himachal Pradesh. He was the President of the Headmasters and Principals Association in District Hamirpur during 1987-89. In 1989, Dass joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Ishwar Dhiman was educated at Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. And his degree is from Panjab University Chandigarh, he obtained the degree of M.A and M.Ed. Ishwar Dass Dhiman worked in education and government, serving as headmaster. He was married to Satya Dhiman and has two daughters and a son. He did a lot of work in the field of education. And people also praised his work a lot. Dhiman continuously worked for education and made people aware of education. Ishwar served as the Minister of Education during 1998–2003 and was re-appointed to the same post in 2008. Dhiman belongs to BJP. Dass was also a member of the state executive. Dass was in BJP from 1990-1993. Was a member of the State Working Committee.
Achievement
After joining the government, he did a lot of work for education. Dass was elected to the Himachal Pradesh State Legislative Assembly in 1990, 1993, 1998, 2003, and 2007 from the Mewa constituency and in 2012 from Bhoranj, Hamirpur district, Himachal Pradesh. His record was that he was elected for the sixth consecutive time. Ishwar had made a place in the hearts of the people. And the public also made him win continuously. Dhiman has a great contribution to the field of education in Hamirpur. And the public always remembers him.
