Rewalsar is a small town located in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, which is located at a distance of about 21 Km from Mandi. Rewalsar was known as Tso Pema in the Tibetan language. Which means lotus lake. The city is situated at an altitude of approximately 1,360 meters (4,462 ft) above sea level. Rewalsar is a holy place for people of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Sikhism. The town is famous for its natural beauty and Tso Pema Lake. Rewalsar city is spread around this lake. There is a Gurudwara temple and monastery around this lake. Hinduism: This place also holds great importance for the people of the Hindu religion. The history of Rewalsar is also found in Skanda Purana. The revered sage Lomas performed penance here. There is also a temple of Naina Devi Maa located at some distance from Rewalsar, which is a place of faith for all the people. There are also seven natural lakes around this temple. Guru Gobind Singh visited Rewalsar to consult the kings of the hill states to seek support against the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Then he stayed in Rewalsar for a month.
