History of Pragpur
Pragpur was established by the Patialas in the late 16th century, in honor of Princess Prag Dei from the Jaswan royal family. The village was settled in an area that was once part of the Jaswan principality. The local ruler, in the late 1500s or early 1600s, tasked a group of scholars led by Kuthiala Sood to find a suitable site in honor of Princess Prag. Thus, Pragpur was born and has retained its original charm and architectural beauty over the centuries.
