    Renuka Singh Thakur was born on 1 February 1996 in Village Parsa, District Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. Renuka Singh is an Indian cricketer. She was the highest wicket-taker in the 2019–20 Senior Women’s ODI League with 23 wickets. Renuka Singh Thakur earned her maiden call-up to the India women’s cricket team, for their series against Australia in August 2021. She made her Women’s Twenty20 International debut on 7 October 2021 for India against Australia. She also plays for Himachal Pradesh.

    Renuka Singh Early Life

    Renuka Singh did her schooling in Dharamshala. And complete college at Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar. Renuka’s father’s name was Kehar Singh, he died in 1999. He was working in the Irrigation Department and Health Department of Himachal Pradesh. Mother’s name is Sunita Thakur. Renuka has an elder brother Vinod Thakur. Renuka wanted to play cricket since childhood. And for this Renuka’s mother supported her. And today Renuka is fulfilling every dream of her mother. Renuka’s uncle also supported her a lot. His uncle is a physical education teacher at a school in Shimla. Renuka started playing cricket for Himachal Pradesh at Under 16 and Under 19. And in the 2023 IPL, Renuka Singh has been bought by RCB for 1.5 crores. Renuka’s family members are happy to hear this news. Zaheer Khan is Renuka’s favorite cricketer.

    Career

    Renuka was named in India’s squad for the 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup. She made her Women’s One Day International debut for India on 18 February 2022 against New Zealand. She was named in India’s squad for the cricket tournament at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England. Renuka Thakur took 11 wickets in the tournament. And she was the leading wicket-taker with her team winning the silver medal. Renuka has joined the railway job in 2021.
